Players should head back out the door they entered through and grab the top from the piece they first interacted with. The player's point of reference will be the black piece in the middle with a porcelain child tied to it and the three pieces surrounding it. Finally, a diagram on a wall to the right will show players exactly how they must set up the chessboard to complete the puzzle. A few black and white pieces strewn about the room will need to be assembled to solve the puzzle. Players will enter a room with a massive chessboard (compared to the character's size) on the ground. Pick it up and place it on top to create a platform. The top of the white piece has come detached and lays on the floor beside its base. Players will notice two chess pieces on the floor, one black and one white. Head back around to the right and begin the chess puzzle. Head up the middle staircase and then head left to find a lost soul to absorb. This will bring them to a set of staircases reminiscent of multiple haunted mansions and the main lobby from Resident Evil: Biohazard. Early on in Chapter 2, players will be separated from Six and will have to find her at all costs. When players aren't fending off ravenous porcelain children or escaping the clutches of stretch-neck teachers, they'll be solving intricate puzzles to make it from room to room.

However, it is still a fantastic follow up to the original. Don't let screenshots and video clips misconstrue that Little Nightmares 2 is still a single-player game. The original game dialed up the freaky to a bone-shaking level. Bandi Namco knocked it clean out of the park with this 3D side-scrolling indy-like horror/adventure. Whether you like problem-solving or interesting horror elements, this sequel is shining bright.Little Nightmares 2 is the long await follow up to 2017's Little Nightmares. Little Nightmares 2 does just that, thankfully. A sequel at its core is supposed to take similar elements, but expand upon them in meaningful ways. It’s always refreshing to see a developer make impactful improvements in sequels. Little Nightmares was an extremely unique horror/puzzle experience, but this next installment looks to be even better.
Some of the imagery has a very Silent Hill feel, which is promising because this horror franchise is so iconic and beloved by many. The school looks particularly frightening as creepy hands scatter around the floors. In the trailer, there are several different environments highlighted that include a hospital, forest, school, and black tower. That’s great news because experiencing this terrifying world with a partner sounds like a much better proposition. Considering Mono and Six will be working together, the developer is putting a focus on co-op. In Little Nightmares 2, players have to approach every environment and threat carefully. Their goal is to reach the Black Tower, a location controlled by the Broadcaster. This time, Mono and the returning Six will be exploring The Pale City. Once again, the developer has created an eerie world filled with dark secrets and grave threats. Now there is new gameplay footage to break down along with a February release date. It’s a great way for the developer to build upon the first game while keeping elements that made it successful. The new character Mono is a young boy that gets to team up with the previous game’s main protagonist, Six.
Little Nightmares 2 is progressing the series forward with its co-op design. The game was so successful that it’s getting a sequel. It came out back in 2017 and since then has collected a pretty loyal following. As Six, you feel tension throughout the entire story. The developer did a great job with the horror elements. You get to play as a young girl named Six that’s trying to figure out a way through Maw, a mysterious sea vessel dripping in personality. One of the better horror puzzlers in recent memory is Little Nightmares from Tarsier Studios.
